AREAS

Tokyo is endlessly surprising.
Where would you like
your story to begin?

No two corners of Tokyo feel the same. Ancient temple gates sit minutes from glass towers.
A quiet lantern-lit alley can be a ten-minute walk from the world’s busiest pedestrian crossing.
That variety is what makes shooting here so special — and why I never get tired of it.
Below are some of the spots I love most — but if you have somewhere in mind that isn’t on this
list, just tell me. That’s usually where the best shoots happen.

01 Shinjuku

A city that never
stops surprising you.

In the same afternoon in Shinjuku, you can shoot portraits under neon signs, find a torii gate hidden between buildings, and catch the last golden light over Shinjuku Gyoen. It's one of the most layered areas in Tokyo — chaotic on the surface, deeply beautiful once you know where to look.

  • Night shoots
  • Neon & urban
  • Hidden shrines

02 Shibuya

Tokyo at full volume.

The crossing. The lights. The energy that you can physically feel. Shibuya is electric, and it shows in every frame. It's a great location if you want something bold and alive — shots that feel like the city itself is part of the story. It also has quieter pockets that most people walk right past.

  • Bold & energetic
  • SNS-ready
  • Any time of day

03 Asakusa

Where old Tokyo breathes.

Stone lanterns. Wooden shopfronts. The smell of incense drifting from Senso-ji. Asakusa is the area that surprises people most — they come expecting a tourist landmark and leave having felt something real. I know the quiet corners, the best light, and the back alleys that don't make it onto travel blogs. Early morning here is unlike anywhere else in the city.

  • Traditional
  • Kimono-friendly
  • Best at dawn

04 Harajuku

Where Tokyo gets loud about being itself.

Harajuku is unfiltered. Takeshita Street is colour and noise and complete commitment to personal style — there's nowhere else like it. But step one block off the main drag and it softens completely: tree-lined Omotesando, the quieter shrines, the tucked-away coffee shops. It's one of the most layered neighbourhoods to shoot in, because it contains so many different versions of Tokyo at once.

  • Fashion & street
  • Vivid & bold
  • Omotesando calm

Either way, get in touch. I can suggest the perfect spot based on your vision, or we can plan it together.
Asakusa, Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku are my go-to areas — but Tokyo has so much more.
